The Temple to the Brave will be open on Memorial Day from 2pm to 5pm to all visitors. No admission fees.

The Museum was built in 1932 by the Col. George Moffett Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Even though it was a timeof “the great depression” there was a fervor of Patriotism among the citizens of the community.

Throughout the years, it has been open on special national holidays for the public.

All acquisitions have been given/displayed are from servicemen and servicewomen and or the families of veterans for the visitors to view.

We choose to remember the many who fought for this (our) country. Each one of the members of the military put their Life on Hold… so that we could continue
living ours in Freedom.

Husbands, fathers, sons, daughters and wives fought and still fight for OurFreedom today. We Remember and Must Never forget….

Today is Memorial Day 2018 and we remember those that have Fallen, Those that have Served and have come back to Us and Those who are with Us living with
fractured lives. We Remember Their families and Their sacrifices also. We do Remember the Soldiers and Their Families today, but we must further remember that they live their lives 364 other days also.

This is a computer world, if you can’t visit a cemetery or a memorial museum, visit the internet – Memorial Day a read their stories YouTube – Please Remember Me.

We want our soldiers to come home… and they do…

Thank Them, Honor Them Today and Every Day. They are not numbers or statistics; they are citizen soldiers
with families just as we are… they continue to insure that America is Free for one more day.

According to Wikipedia, Flag Day is celebrated on June 14. It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States, which happened on June 14, 1777, by resolution of the Second Continental Congress. The United States Army also celebrates the U.S. Army Birthdays on this date; Congress adopted "the American continental army" after reaching a consensus position in the Committee of the Whole on June 14, 1775. In 1916, the president of the United States issued a proclamation that officially established June 14 as Flag Day; in August 1949, National Flag Day was established by an Act of Congress.                                                                                                                             OPEN MOST MAJOR PATRIOTIC HOLIDAYS        2 - 5 PM   FREE ADMISSION
